The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Tyler fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Mason avoids it really well and circles away.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Tyler is defended easily by Mason.

Tyler throws a sloppy strike from the bottom. He's now off balance and Mason manages to pass to side control.
Mason could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Tyler is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but Mason is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Mason is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Tyler to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Tyler shrugs it off.
