Lee will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Lee throws a jab but it's blocked by Thunda.
Thunda takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.
Thunda keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Thunda misses with a looping right.
Lee swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Lee cracks Thunda with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Lee ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Thunda moves away from the strike by Lee.
The fighters circling - Thunda throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Lee, as that shot connected.
Thunda lunges at Lee with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lee's hand.
Lee gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
and Thunda counters with a series of strikes. Lee will be more careful next time no doubt.
Lee lands with a right hand.
Lee cracks Thunda with a right hand to the side of the head.
A slow jab from Thunda misses its intended target.
Lee raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Thunda misses with a double jab.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Lee looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Thunda!
Both of our modern day gladiators look out of it here - a gruelling 5 rounds of action taking it's toll on them, no doubt.
Thunda wants to control but Lee postures up.
Lee wants to control but Thunda is keeping him busy.

Lee is looking for a kimura. He might have it! No, Thunda has escaped the position, nice work there.
Thunda is looking for a sweep.

Lee goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Thunda has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Lee but great work by Thunda.

Lee can't do much from the bottom here.
Lee manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.
Thunda with a momentary lay and pray from half guard.
Lee wants to improve his position but Thunda is controlling well.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Lee is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Lee tries to get to full guard but Thunda has control of the leg.
Thunda wants to pass the guard but Lee is defending well.
Thunda seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Thunda trying to control from half guard but Lee is working away.
DJ Thunda has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Morrison Lee is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.
Lee is pressing down on Thunda's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.

And that's the end of the fight!
That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to DJ Thunda.
Well Lee has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
