Bug swings away with a leg kick that misses.
Bug throws a lazy head kick

and Curry counters with a really nice, stiff jab that drops Bug onto his ass. He'll have to take the mandatory count from the referee but he's back on his feet and he seems OK to continue.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Curry connects with a quick right hand that sends Bug tumbling backwards onto the canvas! As his head bounces into the ropes, it doesn't look good for him beating the count! 3,4,5,6,7 and he's up! No, he's back down again! This one is all over - the referee has called off the fight!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:49 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Punch). Steph Curry!
Steph Curry retains his super heavyweight title!
Love Bug was interviewed post fight and said 'Gonna roll a raw one up and heal these wounds brah..'.
