Smith instigates a clinch.

Namajunas gets control of Smith's arms and successfully pulls guard. Namajunas will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson stalks Romanenko and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Romanenko's face. Romanenko staggers backwards, shaken.

It looks like Alexander Romanenko has been cut.
Romanenko throws a solid leg kick but Johnson takes the impact on his shin and smiles at Romanenko.
Johnson lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses.
Romanenko misses with a wild combination.
Romanenko on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
The fighters circle, before Johnson throws a beautiful high kick that crashes into Romanenko's neck, sending him stumbling to the floor! Johnson lands more strikes and forces a referee stoppage! That one ended in an instant!

Jones shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in naKrittiga's guard.
naKrittiga has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.

naKrittiga dodges the ground and pound from Jones.
Jones has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Buzzard's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not.

Buzzard digs a right hand into Johnson's ribs. Those have got to be taking their toll on Johnson's gas tank.
Buzzard lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Johnson backwards.
Johnson is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Buzzard drops Johnson onto one knee with a big uppercut from the clinch! Johnson is propped up by the cage and works his way back to his feet!

Buzzard dips a shoulder and cracks Johnson with a mighty uppercut! Johnson falls back against the cage and Buzzard unloads with a barrage of strikes! Johnson is completely out with his eyes open, only supported by the cage! Save him ref! Eventually the ref decides to do his job and jumps in - Buzzard screams abuse at the incompetent official before going over to celebrate with his corner. Brutal stuff!
