The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Murhaa cracks Kriel with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage.
Murhaa has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Kriel is landing a low percentage of strikes.
Murhaa tries to land a front kick but Kriel steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.

Kriel chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Murhaa can pounce on him.

Murhaa throws a half hearted mid kick.
It looked like Kriel was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Murhaa.
Kriel throws a hook but Murhaa avoids it easily.
Murhaa slips in close and lands a nice hook before moving back out of range.

Kriel appeared to be looking to counter that last move with a leg kick.

Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Kriel lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and Murhaa has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from Murhaa and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

Kriel takes a jab right on the nose. That must have hurt but he shrugs his shoulders and looks to return the favor.

Murhaa lands a right hook to the body.
Murhaa moves away from the strike by Kriel.
A nice side step and Murhaa releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Murhaa feints and then cracks Kriel's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Kriel down.

This has been an exciting period of action!
Murhaa throws a mid kick that lands with a slap.
Oh Kriel is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Jab, jab by Murhaa - just one landing.
Murhaa cracks Kriel with a hook to the temple - Kriel is on wobbly legs here! Murhaa swarms him with hook after hook, landing with each one! Kriel falls to the canvas face first and the referee dives in to stop the fight! Murhaa wins by TKO!

Phol Murhaa decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.
