I think Larry might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Promise Man. Byhenikov has chosen Harbinger as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

And in the blue corner, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, with a TWGC record of 4 wins and 2 losses; Ewen Davis!
The judges for this bout are Columbo Gatti, Alyssa Summers and Jonathan Paton.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Davis clinches up against the cage.

Davis has picked Blake up - he's going for a ride! Davis dumps his opponent to the mat with a thud and settles into half guard.

Davis is pressing down on Blake's thigh, looking to free his foot. Blake is holding on for now.
Davis seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Blake does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Blake tries to roll over but Davis keeps him under control.

Davis wants to free his trapped foot but Blake is holding on for dear life with his legs.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Blake is staying active underneath Davis, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
Davis trying to pass the guard but Blake defending well.

Blake moves into full guard.
Davis wants to control from the top but Blake keeps moving.

Davis has gone for a leg lock! Blake slips out almost immediately though and dives into Davis's guard.

Davis is pulling down on Blake's head. It's preventing any offense from Blake, at least for the moment.
We've been hearing good reports from Blake's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.
Blake wants to control from the top but Davis keeps moving.

Davis looking for a sweep. Not yet Davis, not yet.

Davis is looking for a triangle but Blake pushes his legs off easily.
Blake is stalling in the full guard.

Blake content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Davis has locked up a guillotine! Davis's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Blake is holding on here and Davis must be using up a lot of energy. Blake has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Davis gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
