The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Smith misses with a low kick as Johnson jumps back.
Johnson throws a head kick that misses.
Smith is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

I think Elpidius might be my favorite fighter, now he's come out to Gladiator - Hans Zimmer. Cyric Saar is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Elpidius tries to escape but he's just digging himself in deeper - Saar cranks the arm and Elpidius screams in pain! The ref makes a decision and ends the fight before the tap - no complains from Elpidius, who is just happy to have his arm attached to his body.

Suzuki moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Irrozios throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.

Irrozios shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Suzuki's guard.

Irrozios got a little sloppy there for a moment and Suzuki has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Irrozios has managed to get both his arms back between Suzuki's legs - danger averted.
