The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Blubb throws a body shot but no joy.
Ribeiro wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Ribeiro scores with a hook to the body. Blubb takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
Blubb uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Ribeiro.
Blubb appears to be waiting to throw a counter punch to the body.
Blubb throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Ribeiro stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Blubb throws a wild combination but nothing lands.
Ribeiro is looking to counter punch.
Ribeiro scores with a nice right hand.
Blubb connects with a body shot that sends Ribeiro's belly button to the back.
Ribeiro throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
A nice combination there by Blubb.
Blubb slips under a jab from Ribeiro.
Blubb rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Ribeiro moves out of range and avoids them all easily.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Ribeiro tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Blubb was well out of range. Poor timing from Ribeiro.

Blubb pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage.

Ribeiro controls Blubb momentarily but Blubb frees himself.
Ribeiro is going to have to think about doing something other than just controlling because Blubb is managing to avoid having the position dictated to him.

Ribeiro working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Blubb doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Blubb manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Ribeiro is trying to hold Blubb in close to prevent damage but Blubb has managed to pass into half guard.

The fighters are battling for position here. Ribeiro manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
