The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Velvet misses with a two punch combination.
Pothier tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Velvet defends well and Pothier ends up having to push Velvet into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Pothier throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Velvet's waist but Velvet gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Pothier off to one side.
Velvet throws a series of punches but Pothier avoids them all with ease.

Pothier is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Velvet is just riding it out for now. Pothier eventually gives up the hold.

McDoughe tries to stall but Roth uses the opportunity to gain a better position.

McDoughe definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Roth has McDoughe pressed up against the cage and is working for takedown. McDoughe manages to improve position though and keeps the fight standing.
Roth has a couple of punches blocked by McDoughe.
McDoughe is trying to drag Roth to the mat but Roth just about manages to keep his footing. He used the cage to his advantage there.

McDoughe makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

McDoughe shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

McDoughe has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Roth after a bit of a struggle.

Roth ties up his opponent against the cage and manages to drag the fight down to the ground. Roth no doubt will be looking to work submissions from his guard.
McDoughe is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

McDoughe has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Roth to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! McDoughe is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Roth pulls down on the head and he's put McDoughe to sleep! This one is all over!
