Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 8 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry Butcher!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 7 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Jack Potter!
The judges for this bout are Steven Brown, Paul Tew and Richard Clark.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Potter scores with a spinning back kick!
Butcher takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Butcher takes one to the chin there.

It looks like Barry Butcher has been cut.
Butcher looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Potter is fending him off so far but Butcher persists. Nope, Potter circles away and we're back to standing.
Potter lands with a thumping leg kick.
Butcher walks into a left hand.
Butcher gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Jack Potter seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Potter misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Butcher.
Butcher tries to counter with a takedown but Potter is quick to defend against it.
Potter throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Potter lands with a nice body punch.
Potter stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!

Potter feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Butcher sprawling to the canvas! Butcher rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Potter finish him?!

Butcher is rocked!
Butcher tries to score a power double leg takedown but Potter sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Butcher somewhat.
Potter let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
Oh Butcher is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Butcher is breathing heavily.
A kick lands to the mid section there for Potter.
Butcher leaves his chin hanging out and Potter seizes the opportunity with an uppercut! Butcher crumbles to the floor in a heap, and the referee steps in and tends to the downed fighter! What a knockout!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Jack Potter!
Jack Potter is the new heavyweight champion!
