Ligambi looks for a takedown but Booker sprawls well.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ligambi is defended easily by Booker.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Ligambi tries to score a power double leg takedown but Booker sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Ligambi somewhat.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Sweeney feints a straight left to the body, then turns around with a flashy move and hits McKenneys jaw with a dramatic spinning back fist!
Sweeney lands with a straight right. McKenney didn't see that one coming.
McKenney tries to move into range but Sweeney moves to the side and lands with a nice right hand.

McKenney is rocked!
Sweeney cracks McKenney on the jaw with a powerful right hand and McKenney falls backwards against the cage. Sweeney follows up with more strikes that drop McKenney to his knees. Sweeney keeps the pressure on and the referee jumps in to save McKenney! This one is all over!

Raymundo Sweeney seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
In defeat, Bud McKenney stepped up to the mic, saying 'This is just the start. I got a lot to learn so I'll be back.'.

It looks like Eisenberger Schluzenphugher has been cut.
Schluzenphugher switches off momentarily and Drumpf cracks him with a monster right hand! Schluzenphugher topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Drumpf dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Drumpf!

Lingren looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Embalmer seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Lingren for as long as he can get away with.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McPunchface lands a powerful looking uppercut that connected with his opponent's jaw.
McPunchface lands a head shot.
Takamura will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.
Takamura attempts a low kick but it misses it's target.
Takamura takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
Mamoru Takamura seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McPunchface cracks Takamura with a right hand to the side of the head.

It looks like Punchy McPunchface has been cut.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Oooooooooooh, not good. A low kick from Takamura lands where it shouldn't have, right in the... well, you know what he did? He kicked him in the penis. He's injured, injured bad. The referee sends both fighters to their corners and McPunchface has 5 minutes to recover. He's OK now though... a thumbs up from McPunchface and we're back underway with a touch of gloves.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that McPunchface has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
The fight stays on the outside here - Takamura looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
And McPunchface tries to counter it with a takedown but Takamura pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Takamura fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt McPunchface.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, McPunchface cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

McPunchface has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

McPunchface cracks Takamura with a big shot to body and one to the head - really punishing Takamura from the back mount here, looking to soften him up.
Takamura looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
Takamura knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for McPunchface on the ground.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Hanson comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Seven Nation Army kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both these guys have really solid chins. Zapata misses with an uppercut. Hanson saw that one coming.

Zapata cracks Hanson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Zapata has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Hanson to stand back up!

Zapata ducks down and throws a big overhand right - it lands flush on the jaw, knocking Hanson out cold! The fight is over!

Hercules bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Island's head backwards.
Hercules clobbers Island with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Island shoots in but no luck this time.
Hercules works the jab nicely.
Hercules throws a combination that misses

and Island counters with a nice shoot takedown that brings the fighters to the ground.

Island drops back for a leg! It's a sloppy attempt though and Island jumps back into guard quickly, to retain the dominant position.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hercules is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Island dives into side control.

Island thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Island is working for what looks like an arm triangle here. Hercules is trying to escape and Island transitions quickly into an armbar! He's slapped it on tight and Hercules is forced to tap! Nice work there by Island! Very nice indeed!
