The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Azuma throws a head kick that misses
and Gaviria counters with a nice body shot.
Azuma throws a head kick but Gaviria moves out of range.
Gaviria swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Gaviria fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Azuma looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.

Azuma closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Gaviria is trying to control but Azuma passes into side control!
Azuma moving around in side mount but really he's just happy to control for now.

Azuma is working to tighten his grip on Gaviria's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Gaviria has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Azuma is really squeezing tight and eventually Gaviria passes out! Azuma breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Roundtree drops back, looking for a kneebar! Santos looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Santos looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Santos!

Lora is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Lyon knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Lora tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Lora has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
