The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Flaer moves into range and clinches up with Alves.
Flaer tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Alves's elbow.
Alves has dropped down and is looking to force the takedown but it's defended by Flaer after a bit of a struggle.
Flaer is working on a leg, looking for a takedown but Alves is defending well.
Flaer prevents the takedown attempt.

Alves has Flaer pressed up against the ropes. He's trying to work for a single leg takedown. Alves pulls back from the ropes and twists to the side, sending Flaer tumbling to the mat - Alves dives into Flaer's guard.

Flaer isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Alves stacks Flaer on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Alves!

Jones lands with a straight right. Bartlett didn't see that one coming.
Jones is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bartlett.
Jones throws a lazy uppercut
and Bartlett counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Jones connects with the punch.
Jones looks to throw the jab but Bartlett is out of range.
Jones throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Bartlett sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Jones throws a jab but it's blocked by Bartlett.
