The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Twenty stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Twenty wants it to stay on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Liang or perhaps it was just good defense by Twenty , which made it look bad.
Twenty now looks to counter with a shot at the body.
Liang wants to clinch

and Twenty counters with a nice double leg into side control. Liang won't be happy with that.
Liang wants to get back to his feet but Twenty is dominant here and he's now got Liang's back!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Twenty working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Liang is doing well to defend. Twenty seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Liang is forced to tap and this one is over!

Diaz pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Legitalt taps out and this one is all over!

Butabi definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.

Thistlewhite thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Thistlewhite is in close to Butabi's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Butabi has momentary wrist control but Thistlewhite slips an elbow through the middle.

Thistlewhite drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Thistlewhite as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Butabi screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Thistlewhite! Nice submission victory there!

Cartman tries to pull guard but Krilov forces him back to his feet, against the cage.

Krilov lands an uppercut in the clinch that drops Cartman to his knees! Krilov keeps firing more shots against his stricken opponent and the referee jumps in to save him!

Embalmer fails with the takedown
letting Date counter with a right hand.
Embalmer misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Date's coach down at Gizmo's Gym was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Date's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Egyptian Embalmer. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Embalmer goes for a double leg but Date avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Date continues to drive forward.
A nice side step and Date releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Jones seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Martinez does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
