The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thomas tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Beliy was well out of range. Poor timing from Thomas.
Beliy misses with a looping left.
Beliy dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Thomas. That did some damage!
Thomas with a body punch. A glancing blow.
A punch lands to the side of Beliy 's head but he takes it in his stride.
Thomas swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Beliy ducks under a wild hook from Thomas.
Thomas stuns Beliy with a nice body shot, before stepping back out of range.

Thomas's coach down at Scouse House was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Thomas's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.
Thomas's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Beliy connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Thomas scrambles back to his feet.
Thomas moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Lima keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Barnes wants to clinch.
Yoshida has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Barnes is landing a low percentage of strikes.

Barnes moves forwards but Yoshida connects with a nice, crisp jab.

Rose looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.

Rose dances in with a quick combination. Johnson is being worked over with jabs and crosses. Oooh, a right straight from Rose snaps Johnson's head back. Johnson stumbles backwards against the cage. Rose steps forward and delivers a right cross that connects with Johnson's jaw, simultaneously knocking him out and sending his mouthpiece into the crowd! There's a worthy souvenir for the fans. This one is over folks. Johnson just didn't come prepared.

After winning the bout, Hannibal Rose thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
