Brute tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kovalchick just stands there and leans against the cage.
Brute is trying to force a seperation but Kovalchick has the dominant position.

Brute manages to pull guard.

Kovalchick stands up and waves to Brute to follow him.

letting Brute counter with a right hand.

Kovalchick closes the distance and clinches.
Brute tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Kovalchick just stands there and leans against the cage.

It looks like Brian Brute has been cut.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Bolt with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.
Bolt fails with a takedown attempt.
Jo seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Jo fails with the takedown.
Bolt shoots for a takedown but Jo saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Jo lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.

Bolt closes the distance and clinches.

Bolt breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Bolt pushes Jo up against the cage in a clinch.
Jo is trying to pull guard but Bolt turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch.
Jo wants to break free but Bolt has control.

Jo is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Bolt is working for an escape here. He's hooked one of Jo's legs and he's managed to sneak out and take Jo's back!
Jo manages to reverse the position and now he's in Bolt's guard. Nice work there by Jo.
Bolt manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Jo manages to get himself to full guard.

Bolt chips away with some ground and pound.

Bolt decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Jo, up you get!

Jo looks for a takedown but Bolt sprawls well.

Bolt moves nicely into side control.

Bolt decides to take the fight back to the feet.
Jo slaps away a takedown attempt from Bolt, before circling back to the center of the mat.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Bolt throws a series of punches but Jo avoids them all with ease.
Bolt connects with a high kick.
Jo takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
Jo takes a kick to the body and keeps moving.
Jo fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Bolt avoids it really well and circles away.

Bolt has taken the fight to the clinch.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Rock Bolt dominated that round.
The fighters get back to their feet, the hooter sounds and we're back to the action!

Bolt changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Jo looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Bolt looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
Bolt just content to control the position.
Jo stops Bolt from passing to mount.

Bolt is working to tighten his grip on Jo's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Jo has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Bolt is really squeezing tight and eventually Jo passes out! Bolt breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Theron shoots in looking for a takedown but Yamamoto manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Theron's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

A little feinted left hand from Styles on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Styles throws a looping overhand right but Cunningham ducks down to avoid it.
Cunningham will need to close the distance a bit before he attacks - that leg kick was thrown from too far away.

Styles lands a big right hand that sends Cunningham crashing to the mat! Styles stays standing though and waves Cunningham back to his feet!

It looked like Styles was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Cunningham .

and Styles counters with a monster hook and another for good measure! Cunningham falls to the ground, out cold! Stick some heavy metal music over the top of that clip and it's one for the highlight makers!

Requis works over Butorin's head and body with a nice combination.

It looks like Alex Butorin has been cut.
Requis throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Butorin stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Requis misses with a few strikes there.
It looked like Butorin was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
Requis avoids a punch combination nicely.
Requis connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
Butorin showing good head movement there, avoiding the strikes from Requis.
Butorin fails to land with a series of punches.
Butorin shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Requis eats them both and turns towards Butorin to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.

It looks like The Requis has been cut.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
A head kick misses from Butorin.
Alex Butorin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Butorin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Butorin seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
Butorin turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick.
Requis lands with an overhand left.
Butorin is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Requis has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Butorin tries to keep at a distance but Requis has taken the fight into the clinch.

Butorin pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Requis back to the cage. Butorin follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver.
Requis tries to score a power double leg takedown but Butorin sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Requis somewhat.

Butorin throws a right and a left that Requis avoids nicely.
