Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Hamza Keita (ranked 4974 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmie Connor (ranked 22756 p4p, 0 weight class). Keita's entrance music is Secka - Pointure . A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Keita misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Connor stalks Keita and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Keita's face. Keita staggers backwards, shaken.
Keita misses with an uppercut. Connor saw that one coming.
Keita tries to clinch up.
Connor misses with a head kick.
Keita feinted with a counter takedown.
Connor stuffs the takedown attempt from Keita. Keita gets slowly back to his feet.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Connor.

Connor clinches up against the cage.

Keita wants a takedown but no success here.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Hamza Keita. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Keita drops down for a takedown but doesn't get it.
Keita fails to pull the fight into his guard.

Connor breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Keita tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Connor manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Keita misses with a wild body shot.
Connor darts in looking for a takedown but Keita gets double underhooks and turns Connor into the cage.

Connor closes the distance and clinches.

Connor pulls guard successfully.
Keita passes easily into side control. Nice work.

Keita wants to work for a kimura but he's foiled early by Connor, who protects the arm well.

Keita is trying to get an arm triangle but Connor is defending well.

Keita is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Connor knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.
Keita working away diligently from side control. Landing strikes effectively there - that will score him some points on the judges scorecards.
Keita controls the position.

Keita tries to land with some ground and pound but misses.
Keita wants to control but Connor is keeping him busy.
Connor holds on tight, trying to prevent any damage.
Connor is letting Keita control him for a moment.
Keita lands a nice forearm strike.

Keita tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Keita has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Connor looks to move to half guard but instead Keita has passed into mount! Damn!
Keita trying to control but Connor is having none of it.
We've been hearing that Keita has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.

Connor keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Connor in a bad spot here, taking shots to the head.
Connor tries to hold on but Keita postures up.
Keita fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

Connor is rocked!

Keita has control of Connor's right arm, working for a kimura. It's a bit of a token attempt though and Connor regains control of the situation pretty easily.
Keita is in full mount looking to finish with strikes. He lands a big shot, followed by another and Connor goes limp! The ref jumps in to end the fight - a big win for Keita!
