Rhodes shoots for a takedown but Golovkin saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Golovkin looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Rhodes is fending him off so far but Golovkin persists. Nope, Rhodes circles away and we're back to standing.

Edmodson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Rurik on the side of the head.
Edmodson moves out of range of the strikes.

Edmodson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Rurik.
Rurik lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Edmodson circles away quickly and effectively.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Edmodson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Rurik manages to avoid it.
A left lands for Edmodson.

Rurik was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.
Rurik throws out a loose jab but Edmodson uses good head movement to avoid it.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Edmodson! But no joy.
Rurik throws a hook but Edmodson avoids it easily.

Edmodson takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.
Rurik has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Edmodson finds it's way round the side to connect with Rurik's head.

Edmodson lands with a nice combination. Rurik backs away looking to recover.
Rurik swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Edmodson throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Rurik uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Edmodson.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Edmodson shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Rurik eats them both and turns towards Edmodson to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Edmodson throws a series of strikes that have Rurik backpedaling.

Rurik is rocked!
Rurik lands a jab to the head.
Oh Rurik is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Rurik looks to land a right hand but Edmodson moved out of range.
Rurik seems to have got his legs back now.
Edmodson misses with a double jab.

Rurik throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Edmodson sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Edmodson throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Rurik swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.
Rurik thows a left - swing and a miss!
Rurik takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Edmodson takes a jab right on the kisser.

That has opened up Michael Edmodson's cut even more.
Edmodson moves out of range as Rurik strikes.
Rurik is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
Edmodson looks to land a combination but Rurik avoids it well.

Rurik cracks Edmodson with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Rurik has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Edmodson to stand back up!

Edmodson is rocked!
Edmodson throws a right and a left that both miss.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Rurik drops Edmodson with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Edmodson looks back up at him and smiles so Rurik waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Edmodson is still on wobbly legs! Can Rurik finish him?

Rurik lands with a precision combination! Left, right, uppercut and Edmodson falls flat on his face, eyes wide open but he's out!

A relieved looking Vladimir Rurik thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
