The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Samaritan shoots in and bounces Cartman off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Samaritan trying to control but Cartman is working from the bottom.

Cartman throws his legs up looking for a submission but Samaritan uses it to pass to side control.
Cartman is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Push is looking for a kimura. It's pretty deep but Carter still has the half guard so he's probably OK. Oh, Carter has exploded into a beautiful escape there and after a quick scramble, he's ended up in side control on top! Nice work!

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Carter thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.

Push is looking to regain half guard here but Carter keeps moving and retains side control.

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
