Silva is controlling this nicely and is looking to make no mistakes. Thai is trying to wiggle out of this horrible position. Thai flips to his side and attempts to get a leg in for half guard. Silva anticipates the leg and manages to get behind Thai and secures both hooks! This could be bad! Silva slips an arm under Thai chin and tries to position for a rear naked choke. Silva has worked the choke in now and it looks tight. Silva is squeezing on Thai like an anaconda would it's prey. Thai fails to tap and has fallen unconscious! We've got ourselves a winner by way of a rear naked choke!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Muller enables Touchard to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Muller manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Touchard has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Brephgrad throws a leg kick which misses Kirby's front leg but catches the back leg as Kirby tries to avoid it.

Kirby closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
