It looks like Charles Briscoe has been cut.

Defensor Iv throws a jab to the body, straight down the pipe. Boom. That sent Briscoe stumbling backwards but he manages to regain his composure quickly.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!

Defensor Iv drops Briscoe with a beautiful combination! Briscoe stares up at his opponent, who ushers him back to his feet - Defensor Iv is looking for the KO!

This has been an exciting period of action!
Defensor Iv connects with a good straight punch right through the guard and follows up with a right hook and a left hook! That last one sent Briscoe tumbling to the canvas! Defensor Iv pours on the pressure with more strikes and the referee has no hesitation diving in to stop the fight! Briscoe was done - good stoppage!

Pripyat dives in for a single leg takedown but Chinannigans sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Pripyat has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.
Karelin Pripyat seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Pripyat tries to score a power double leg takedown but Chinannigans sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Pripyat somewhat.
