The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Fog shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Geng defends it nicely.

Fog has been working on his striking defense in training and it's paying off as Geng is landing a low percentage of strikes.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Khan enables Waster to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Khan manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Khan wants to get back to his feet but Waster passes into half guard.


Waster is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
Waster frees up his trapped foot and advances to mount.
Khan knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Waster on the ground.

Waster seems to be looking to move to his opponent's back but Khan is holding on tight.

Waster has hold of Khan's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Khan manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Colnago feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Tabatabai sprawling to the canvas! Tabatabai rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Colnago finish him?!
