The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Reid misses with a leg kick
and Sitsongrit counters with a nice uppercut.
Reid does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Sitsongrit steps in looking to clinch after the strikes miss from Reid.
Reid takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Reid throws a leg kick that misses.
Reid keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Sitsongrit.
Reid tries a low kick but Sitsongrit avoids it.

Sitsongrit forces Reid back against the cage and clinches.
We can't be sure of the tactics at this early stage but we have heard that Sitsongrit has been working on his takedowns a lot in the buildup to the fight and we can only assume he's going to look to take this to the mat.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Marcinho Sitsongrit decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.

and Mason counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Lulinha throws an ugly left hook that misses
and Mason counters with a series of strikes. Lulinha will be more careful next time no doubt.

and Mason counters with a straight punch to the midsection.

Mason feints and then winds up with a huge right hand that connects perfectly and sends Lulinha sprawling to the canvas! Lulinha rolls over backwards and springs off the cage and manages to regain his footing - how acrobatic! Oh, he's still wobbly - can Mason finish him?!
Oh Lulinha is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

and Mason counters with a huge right that knocks Lulinha out cold! Mason is running around with a crazed look on his face - you can see how much that meant to him!

Souza throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

Boag instigates a clinch.
Boag lands with a right to the head.
Souza wants a takedown but no success here.
Souza goes for a takedown attempt but Boag pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.

Boag lands a nice hook to Souza's body. Souza takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
Souza just misses with a punch to the body.
Souza throws a hook but Boag blocks it.
Souza has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
Souza lands a jab-cross combination.
Souza misses with an uppercut. Boag saw that one coming.
A little feinted left hand from Boag on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.
Boag has been working on his boxing with his coaches at Frenzied Rainbows Multi-Combat in the buildup to the fight.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Boag has managed to clinch.
Boag swings wildly with an uppercut but Souza uses good head movement to avoid it.

Boag presses Souza against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.

Souza's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button!
Souza is still on wobbly legs! Can Boag finish him?
Boag creates some distance for himself and unleashes a massive uppercut that sends Souza's eyes rolling into the back of his head! Souza drops to his knees and Boag pours it on with more strikes until the referee steps in to end the bout!

A very excited looking Chris Boag made sure he remembered to thank all the fans both in the arena and on the internet. He said all the coolest people spend all day on MMA websites, which got a big reaction.
Ritchie Souza spoke after the fight, saying 'That dude is on PED's he needs to be tested ASAP. Cheater...'.

Pacheco shoots in but Speed avoids the takedown attempt easily.

and Speed counters with a straight right hand.
Speed scores with a jab to the body.
Pacheco darts in looking for a takedown but Speed gets double underhooks and turns Pacheco into the cage.
Mick Speed has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Jose Pacheco.
Speed uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Pacheco has time to react.

It looks like Jose Pacheco has been cut.
Pacheco gets cracked with a nice right hand there by Speed.

Speed throws a looping overhand right but Pacheco ducks down to avoid it.
Pacheco is still on wobbly legs! Can Speed finish him?
Pacheco shoots in for a double leg but Speed sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Pacheco seems to have recovered his senses.
Pacheco has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Pacheco there as he acknowledges the shot.
Speed misses with a looping right.
Pacheco is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Speed clobbers Pacheco with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Pacheco moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross.
Speed pounces like a tiger and cracks Pacheco with a vicious hook! Pacheco is down but not out! Speed follows up with more strikes forcing the ref to jump in and stop it!

Fernandes decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Butler tries to get to full guard but Fernandes has control of the leg.
Fernandes really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Butler. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Butler is working hard here to advance position.
Fernandes is thwarting Butler's attempts to control the position.
Butler is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Jitz MMA, so we'll see if he gets out of it.
Butler slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Butler tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Butler bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Fernandes's guard.

Fernandes not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.

Butler postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Butler wants to pass the guard but Fernandes is keeping the position.
Butler stands up over Fernandes, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Butler stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Fernandes swivels though and keeps the full guard.

Butler is pushing down on Fernandes's leg trying to pass to half guard. Fernandes is fighting to maintain full guard but Butler has managed to sneak the leg through.
Butler looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
Butler passes the guard and advances to mount!
Fernandes is bucking up trying to escape but Butler cracks him with another couple of good strikes.

Butler wants to control the pace but Fernandes is squirming around nicely.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Vieira fails in his attempt to clinch.
Vieira swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Junkie uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Vieira.
Vieira throws a shot from downtown. Junkie moves away and avoids it.
Vieira does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
A jab from Vieira misses.
Vieira looks to score with a jab to the body but Junkie is just out of range.

Junkie closes the distance and after a bit of a stuggle, scores a takedown into Vieira's guard.

Vieira looking to try and escape his hips here, looking for a submission. It looks like he's going for a triangle but Junkie is defending well. Vieira quickly switches to an armbar and extends the arm! Junkie has no choice but to tap, to a very quick submission! Wow, that was lightning fast! Vieira celebrates on the cage, with the crowd.
