The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Nazir gets caught flat footed, as Treadwell shoots in with a quick takedown into guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Nazir tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Treadwell advances position into side control!
Treadwell has knee on belly and moves into mount.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Nazir tries to hold on but Treadwell postures up.
Nazir tries to get back to half guard but can't.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Nazir can do anything to dispel that myth.

The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Treadwell cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!

BOOM! Treadwell connects with a massive shot to the dome!

It looks like Raheem Nazir has been cut.
Treadwell lands a big shot there that rocks Nazir but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Abbadon digs a good hook to Lashley's body.
Lashley leaves Abbadon with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.
Abbadon stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Abbadon wants it to stay on the feet.

Abbadon has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Lashley can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Some bone on bone action there as Henley checks a low kick. Luckily it wasn't a particularly hard one.
And Henley tries to counter it with a takedown but Reborn pushes his down on his head and steps out.

A momentary lapse in concentration from Reborn enables Henley to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Reborn manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.

Temirov shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Silver pinned against the cage. Silver gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
Temirov tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Silver defends well and Temirov ends up having to push Silver into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.

Springs's coach down at IC&E Academy was telling us pre-fight that they have been working on Springs's balance. Obviously they view that as a key factor in the outcome of this fight.

A little feinted left hand from Laliberte on the counter but he doesn't commit to it.

A telegraphed right hand from Springs misses the target.
Laliberte throws a hook to the side of Springs's head but Springs sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Springs sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs.
A looping hook to the body misses from Laliberte. Springs does a little dance to reset his feet.

and Laliberte connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Springs throws a sloppy head kick and Laliberte moves out of range easily.
It looked like Laliberte wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Springs throws a lazy uppercut
and Laliberte counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.

Laliberte throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Springs is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Laliberte.
Laliberte thinks about countering with a head kick.
Laliberte fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Springs.
Springs misses with an uppercut. Laliberte saw that one coming.
Laliberte feints and then cracks Springs's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Springs down.

Laliberte throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Springs.
Springs walks into a jab.
This has been an exciting period of action!

Laliberte misses with a hook
enabling Springs to counter with a crisp jab.
Springs wants to slow Laliberte down by chopping away at his legs.
Laliberte throws a quick counter kick to the body but Springs avoids it.

Laliberte drops Springs with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Springs looks back up at him and smiles so Laliberte waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.

Randy Springs seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Springs tries to get into range but Laliberte steps to the side and lands a beautiful hook that drops Springs! He's faceplanted into the mat, ass in the air... he's out cold! That's an image he won't want to show his grandkids when he gets older! Laliberte scores the big KO victory!
