Undercard bout

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Korean Zombie (ranked 6692 p4p, 261 weight class) and Tragic Visions (ranked 3135 p4p, 148 weight class). Zombie kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is ZOMBIE. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Zombie moves out of range as Visions strikes.
It looked like Zombie wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit.
Visions moves out of range of the body kick.
Tragic Visions seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Visions throws a shot from downtown. Zombie moves away and avoids it.
Visions throws a body shot but no joy.

Visions throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Zombie was covering up waiting for the punch and Visions finishes the takedown easily into guard.
Zombie is trying to hold Visions in close to prevent damage but Visions has managed to pass into half guard.

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 9 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Mister Island!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Island shoots for a takedown but Warne saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Warne changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.

Island sneaks a leg back under and regains half guard and is working straight away to try and get back to guard. He hasn't managed just yet though.
Island felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Island changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Warne tries to avoid it but Island manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Warne to the ground. Warne escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
Warne drops down looking for a counter takedown but Island sprawls and moves away.

Island closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Warne quickly recovers to half guard.

Island is working for a kimura here but Warne manages to reverse the position and he's now in Island's guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
