The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gilly throws a combination. Piana tries to block but a couple of punches get through.
Gilly looks to score with a jab to the body but Piana is just out of range.
Nice straight punches there by Gilly. You know Roy Jones Jr respects the hands of Gilly.
Gilly is looking to slow Piana down with leg kicks.
Gilly ducks under a wild hook from Piana.
Gilly scores with a sloppy right hand. Piana should have avoided that one.

Piana tries to keep at a distance but Gilly has taken the fight into the clinch.

Piana swings wildly with an uppercut but Gilly uses good head movement to avoid it.
Gilly swings away with an uppercut that misses.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Piana stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body.
Gilly lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards.
Gilly lands with a right to the head.
Piana tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Gilly's elbow.
Piana lands with a short shot to the head.
Gilly struggles to land a body shot inside as Piana controls his hands.

Gilly makes some space for himself and lands an uppercut.

and Piana cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Piana misses the jab.

Gilly cracks Piana with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Gilly has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Piana to stand back up!

Gilly cracks Piana with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Gilly has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Piana to stand back up!
Piana goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
BOOM! Gilly lands a beautiful left hook that drops Piana. Piana tries to recover but Gilly is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Piana lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!
