That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Hong crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Kai - the referee stops the clock and Hong gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Kai. Hong manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hao takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
Monteban throws a low kick, looking for Hao's leg but Hao calmly moves out of range.

Hao avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Hao loads up on a big right hand but Monteban slips the punch.

Monteban feints and as Hao raises his hands in defense, Monteban changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard.
Monteban throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Monteban working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Hao has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Monteban should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Hao has tightened it up now! Monteban should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!
