Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Loki Aoki (ranked 2463 p4p, 296 weight class) and Carter Martin (ranked 3238 p4p, 364 weight class). Aoki's entrance music is KAANCEPTS. A fine choice. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Martin feints and then cracks Aoki's leading leg with a nice low kick. He's obviously looking to slow Aoki down.

Oooooh!!! Aoki has knocked Martin down with a huge combo! Aoki steps away and waves a wobbly Martin back to his feet! This one might not go much longer!

A close third round but Hector Camacho just about did enough to take it.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Tonon has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Tonon there as he acknowledges the shot.
Camacho uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Tonon has time to react.
Camacho is throwing a lot of body shots here, looking to wear down Tonon rather than just go for the knockout.
Tonon is pinned up against the cage taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Camacho seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.

Tonon shoots in for a double leg but Camacho sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Tonon gets control of Camacho's arms and successfully pulls guard. Tonon will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Camacho slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up.
Camacho's corner are shouting for him to control the position and he seems happy to oblige.
Yet more stalling tactics from Camacho.

And that's the end of the fight!
I would just about give that final round to Hector Camacho.
I've got Camacho winning every round here. Surely the decision will go his way and he'll pick up a well deserved decision victory. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jones scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
Palmer connects with a leg kick. Jones looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it.

and Jones cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.

Palmer stooping low to avoid any incoming strikes and then lunges in with an uppercut come cross that lands flush.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

and Jones counters with a nice kick to the body.
Sloppy strikes from Palmer. Those never looked like landing.

and Jones counters with a huge left! Palmer is in big trouble! He's backing up but Jones isn't giving him chance to recover. Under a barage of punches the ref has to step in to save Palmer from any more damage. A dominating finish by Jones!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:35 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jack Jones!

After the fight, Jack Jones was humble in paying tribute to his opponent but made it clear he wants to go on to bigger and better things. It seemed to go down well with the crowd who cheered him loudly.
