Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Mike Lowe (ranked 1769 p4p, 89 weight class) and Lou Nahtic (ranked 3607 p4p, 166 weight class). Nahtic is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Sleeping My Day Away. I'm sure you'll be fascinated to know that I was talking to some pointless Z list celebrity before the fight and he thought that Lou Nahtic was going to win. Let's see if he was right.

Nahtic told us before the fight that he's been working on his elbows. An under utilised technique these days - let's see if it can sway the outcome of the fight.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Malik Jones.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the heavyweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Garcon bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Umanouke's head backwards.
Garcon circles away from the clinch attempt.
Garcon pivots, looking for a leg kick but Umanouke is out of range and Garcon settles back down.
Umanouke misses with a takedown attempt. He shot from a bit too far out.
Garcon tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Umanouke manages to circle out of the way.
Garcon does a little shimmy and throws a leg kick. The leg kick missed by a considerable margin though, making him look a little bit silly for doing the shimmy.
Umanouke misses the shot to the body.
Garcon misses with a body kick.
Umanouke with the counter takedown but Garcon avoids it easily.
Umanouke throws a hook but Garcon blocks it.
A slapping leg kick lands for Garcon.
Umanouke doesn't react quick enough there as he takes a shot to the body.
Garcon scores with a kick to the midsection.
Garcon avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Umanouke shoots in looking for a takedown but Garcon manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Umanouke's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Garcon wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.
Nice defenses there by Garcon.
Ueda Umanouke seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Umanouke is trying hard to land a takedown here. Garcon sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet.
Jean Paul Garcon has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Ueda Umanouke.

Umanouke tightens his grip and picks Garcon up, before dumping him to the ground. Garcon manages to land in guard.
Garcon is doing well to control the posture of his opponent and prevent any damage.
Umanouke passes into half guard.
Garcon preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head.
Garcon is trying to get back to full guard.

Garcon has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Umanouke is working away from the top position though.
Umanouke working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Garcon wants to control the action here but instead Umanouke manages to pass to full mount!
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!

Umanouke postures up and cracks his opponent a couple of times before moving back into close ground control. Garcon looks a forlorn figure.
The referee warns Garcon that he has to improve his position here as he takes two more clean shots to the head.

Umanouke has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.
Umanouke postures up and connects with a big shot that has rocked Garcon badly. He's trying desperately to grab hold of Umanouke around the waist but Umanouke pushes him off and unloads with more strikes, forcing the referee to jump in and save him! Umanouke is the winner by TKO! Umanouke jumps onto the cage and shouts into the camera. "We did it momma!"
