The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Da Silva fails with a rather predictable takedown attempt.
Magomedrasulov fails to land with a series of punches.
Da Silva is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here.

And Da Silva tries to counter it with a takedown but Magomedrasulov pushes his down on his head and steps out.
Magomedrasulov throws a body kick but he wasn't in range.
Da Silva shoots in for a takedown but Magomedrasulov shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
Horrible takedown attempt by Magomedrasulov or perhaps it was just good defense by Da Silva , which made it look bad.

and Da Silva counters with a driving takedown into guard. Nice work there by Da Silva .
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Da Silva drops back looking for a leg! Magomedrasulov is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Magomedrasulov manages to kick Da Silva off! Da Silva jumps back into Magomedrasulov's guard.

Magomedrasulov has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Da Silva is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Magomedrasulov.
