And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Kota Utama!
The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Davimenikov closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
An elbow from Davimenikov crashes against the mat.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Utama looks to move to half guard but instead Davimenikov has passed into mount! Damn!
Davimenikov throws some wild stikes that Utama manages to avoid easily.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Utama is looking to improve his position but Davimenikov isn't that keen on the idea.
Davimenikov takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
Utama tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Davimenikov shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Utama's guard.

Utama really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Davimenikov. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
