The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
No joy there for Renee , who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Renee throws a right and a left that both miss.
Kemp lands with a hook. Renee tried to avoid it but it clipped the top of his head.

It looks like Hayden Renee has been cut.
Renee throws a head kick but Kemp moves out of range.
Renee cracks Kemp with a right hand to the side of the head.
Renee throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Renee has done a lot of speed work in the buildup to this fight.
A decent looking cross lands there for Kemp.

Thaichenpaew gets in close and instigates a clinch.
Hunt is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.
Thaichenpaew tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Hunt's elbow.
Thaichenpaew tries to land knees in the clinch but Hunt avoids the damage to the body.
Hunt is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the ropes enables Thaichenpaew to keep the fight standing.

I was talking to Thaichenpaew's coach per-fight and he was telling me that they'd been working on the clinch in the runup to this fight.

Thaichenpaew goes for a body shot but it's blocked.

Hunt jumps guard and drags Thaichenpaew to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.

Thaichenpaew is sitting in close to Hunt's body. Hunt has gone for a guillotine from the bottom. Oh damn, that looks pretty tight! Thaichenpaew is panicking - it looks like this one could be all over! Yes, Thaichenpaew is tapping! That was a very nice submission by Hunt.
