Kaelin drops back looking for a leg! Yeboah is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Yeboah manages to kick Kaelin off! Kaelin jumps back into Yeboah's guard.

Alison walks forward and throws a big overhand right! Frost drops to the floor like a sack of potatoes! Alison swarms on him with more punches until the referee wrestles him away from Frost's unconscious body! Wow, that was brutal!

And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Georges Danton!
The judges for this bout are , Don Winkell and Jack Bonds.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Ray closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.
We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake.
Ray thows a wild elbow that connects with the canvas.
Ray thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Danton's head.
Danton keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.
Ray throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
Ray is stalling here. Danton is in no mood to hang around though. He's locked up a kimura from the bottom! Ray seems to be keeping calm but he's forced to roll out of the hold and Danton has ended up in side control on the top. Nice work.
Ray tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Ray is working hard here to advance position.

Ray is in a tricky position but he's been working on his transitions down at Sydney Combat Method, so we'll see if he gets out of it.

Danton decides to stand back up. Danton steps back and let's Ray get back to his feet.
Danton connects with a looping left hand that seems like it dazed Ray momentarily.
No joy there for Danton, who threw a few shots but didn't land.

Ray shoots in and bounces Danton off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Ray throwing strikes from guard but Danton blocks nicely.
Ray trying to control the position from guard on top but Danton is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Ray throws a big right hand that misses.
Ray is in close to Danton's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Ray postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head.
Danton is pulling down on Ray's head. It's preventing any offense from Ray, at least for the moment.

Danton manages to wriggle out and sneak his way back up to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched up against the cage.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Ray fails to pull guard.
Ray jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Danton walks away with a smile on his face. Ray gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Danton lunges at Ray with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Ray's hand.

A swing and a miss from Danton.
Danton stuffs the takedown attempt from Ray. Ray gets slowly back to his feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Wes Ray. That's going to take a lot out of him.

Ray fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Danton sprawls well initially but Ray persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Danton makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!

Ray shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Danton napping and manages to drive through into side control!
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Danton decides to stand back up. Danton steps back and let's Ray get back to his feet.

Danton throws a jab but it's blocked by Ray.
Ray shoots in looking for a takedown. Danton tries to sprawl out of it but Ray keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Danton manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Danton lands a big uppercut and Ray crumbles to the floor! The ref thinks about stopping the fight but Ray looks OK. Danton waves Ray back to his feet!

Ray is rocked!
Danton fakes the leg kick and throws a superman punch. It's knocked Ray out cold! Brutal finish!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:20 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). Georges Danton!
Georges Danton is the new light heavyweight champion!
Our winner, Georges Danton, made sure he spent some time buttering up the crowd during his post fight interview, which will no doubt bring him a few more fans.
