The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Meechum darts in and clinches Hooligan up against the cage.

Meechum has clasped his hands together around Hooligan's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Meechum prevents Hooligan from escaping the position.

Meechum is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Hooligan is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

Meechum decides to stand back up. Meechum steps back and let's Hooligan get back to his feet.
Hooligan lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Meechum backs up against the cage.

It looks like Danny Meechum has been cut.

Hooligan cracks Meechum with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Hooligan has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Meechum to stand back up!

Meechum is rocked!

Oh Meechum is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Hooligan cracks Meechum with a left hook right on the temple and Meechum goes down! He's out! Referee! Stop the fight! Hooligan lands a few more punches before the dopey ref steps in - hopefully Meechum is OK!
