The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sekany gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Johnson counters with a nice double leg into side control. Sekany won't be happy with that.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Johnson lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Sekany down.
Sekany is looking for a sweep.
Johnson tries to advance to mount but can't.
We've been hearing that Johnson has been drilling a lot of ground and pound in training, so let's see if he get the finish.
Sekany is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Johnson off and has taken his back!
