And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 7 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Harry Kane!
The judges for this bout are Daniel Franklin, Stewart Dunkirk and George Francis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kane throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Shiit moves out of range of the strikes.
Shiit takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
We've been hearing reports that Shiit has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.
Shiit fails miserably with a takedown attempt.
Kane with a nice looking leg kick. You could hear that one land in a back row.

Kane has taken the fight to the clinch.
Shiit jumps guard but his hands slip and he falls flat on his back. Well, he's made himself look a right mug there, as Kane walks away with a smile on his face. Shiit gets slowly back to his feet and shakes his head.
Harry Kane seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kane remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Kane sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Shiit's guard.

The fighters are working up against the cage. Kane manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage.

Shiit darts in looking for a takedown but Kane gets double underhooks and turns Shiit into the cage.

Kane takes a swing at Shiit's ribcage but misses.
Kane scores with a punch to the gut of his opponent.
Kane thumps Shiit with a low kick.
Shiit walks into a stiff left hand from Kane.

Shiit is rocked!
BOOM! Kane lands a beautiful left hook that drops Shiit. Shiit tries to recover but Kane is having none of it, landing more punishing shots from mount. One final crushing shot and Shiit lies motionless on the canvas. The fight is over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:59 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Harry Kane!
Harry Kane is the new lightweight champion!
Harry Kane decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
