And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, William Wallace !
The judges for this bout are Alan Glass, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Wallace misses with a few strikes there.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Thomas is defended easily by Wallace .
Wallace tries to counter with a clinch but Thomas shakes him off and moves away.
Thomas could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.
Thomas shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Wallace but Wallace pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Thomas gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily

and Wallace counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Wallace .
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Will Thomas. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Wallace tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Thomas just stands there and leans against the cage.

Thomas shoots in for a double leg but Wallace sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.

Wallace shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Thomas is trying to defend but Wallace finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Thomas parries the strikes from Wallace easily there. Wallace is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Thomas to escape.

Wallace is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Thomas knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Wallace decides to take the fight back to the feet.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Wallace gets a clinch.
Wallace tries to land a shot to the body but it's blocked.

Thomas trying to control but Wallace is working from the bottom.
Thomas missing there with some ground and pound from the guard.

Wallace has scooted to the edge of the canvas and used the cage to get back to his feet. Thomas has stuck on his opponent and is forcing him back against the cage.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Wallace is looking for a takedown.
Wallace keeps control of Thomas as he tries to wriggle out of the double underhooks.

A nice side step and Wallace releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.

Thomas looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.

Wallace shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Thomas as he avoids it easily.
Thomas swings for the body but Wallace moves out of range.
Thomas throws a right hand that Wallace ducks under and follows up with a left that Wallace also avoids with ease.
Despite the aggression on Wallace 's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Wallace closes the distance and clinches up with Thomas, looking for a takedown. Wallace pushes Thomas against the cage but Thomas circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Thomas doesn't manage to clinch there - Wallace circles away.
Thomas moves in looking to clinch but Wallace pushes him off.

That was a close second round but I would say that Will Thomas will probably get the nod.

I would just about give that final round to William Wallace .

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Miranda misses with a double jab
and Fossmo counters with a nice uppercut.
Miranda throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
enabling Fossmo to counter with a crisp jab.

Fossmo manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Miranda on his heels. He'll look to pass Miranda's guard now, I'm sure.
Fossmo throws a big elbow that misses.
Miranda utilising some decent striking defenses from the guard, preventing the ground and pound.
Fossmo with a flurry of punches that miss.

Fossmo drops back for a leg here. A bit of a high risk move... He's looking for a kneebar by the looks of things. Now both of them are looking for submissions. Fossmo seems to have locked his on tight now - Miranda screams in pain and taps out furiously! It certainly was a high risk move but it's paid off for Fossmo, as he picks up the win!

Mcgraugh connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Grundmann.
No luck for Grundmann with that takedown attempt.

Excellent takedown into side control there by Grundmann.
Mcgraugh is trying to get back to half guard.

Grundmann tries for a kimura but Mcgraugh is defending well.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Grundmann is working to tighten his grip on Mcgraugh's neck. He's isolated an arm and is working for an arm triangle. Mcgraugh has recognised the danger and is trying to turn with the submission but Grundmann is really squeezing tight and eventually Mcgraugh passes out! Grundmann breaks the hold and jumps onto the cage to celebrate! Submission of the night, I'd say!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:54 of round 1, we have a winner by way of Submission (Arm Triangle). Michael Grundmann! Michael Grundmann retains his light heavyweight title!
During a confident post fight interview, Michael Grundmann thanked all his fans. He seemed very genuine when describing how motivated his fans keep him.
