Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 12 - 23 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Danny Page!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Ralph McGucken!
The judges for this bout are Alec Ball, Elvis Blanc and Steve Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

McGucken closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.
McGucken jumps guard but Page turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Page creates a bit of distance and throws an elbow that only just misses.
McGucken tries to land a knee to the body but he is off balance and Page avoids it.
With the fighters up against the cage, Page throws an elbow but misses.

Page breaks the clinch.
Page throws a sloppy head kick and McGucken moves out of range easily.

Page shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches McGucken napping and manages to drive through into side control!
McGucken can't do much from the bottom here.

Page leaves McGucken with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt.

Page manages to escape and get back to his feet.

Page is trying to trip McGucken. He has hold of a leg but McGucken is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Page persists though and gets the takedown into guard.
Danny Page is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach.
Page is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Page stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. McGucken swivels though and keeps the full guard.

McGucken isolates an arm and boxes in a triangle. Page stacks McGucken on his neck as he steps over and passes to the side. He's now in a much more dominant position where he can look to do some serious damage. Nice move by Page!

Page stands up and beckons McGucken to his feet.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Danny Page.
Well I reckon that's a shut out for Page, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
