Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Sharp crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Shoe - the referee stops the clock and Sharp gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Shoe. Sharp manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Mario Curran (ranked 579 p4p, 70 weight class) and Marious La De Hoya (ranked 702 p4p, 88 weight class). Curran kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Shoshone Flag Song. La De Hoya is bouncing up and down as he enters the arena, backed by Cocaine. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

A brutal knockout and then some excellent sportsmanship - this guy is my new favorite fighter!
