The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Good shot there by Anderson.
Bandicoot takes one to the side of the head.
Bandicoot fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Anderson looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath.
Anderson throws a body punch but Bandicoot moves out of range.
Bandicoot lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head.
Bandicoot misses the shot to the body.
Anderson cracks Bandicoot with an open hand slap.
Anderson misses with a straight right.
Bandicoot swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Bandicoot has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Bandicoot there as he acknowledges the shot.
Anderson uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Bandicoot.
Bandicoot shoots for a double leg takedown but Anderson sprawls well. He's pushed Bandicoot's face into the mat and manages to get back to his feet relatively easily.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bandicoot accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Anderson has thrown up a leg looking for a triangle. Bandicoot doesn't defend quickly enough and Anderson has managed to lock this one up! Can Bandicoot escape?! NO! He's tapping out! Damn, that was a quick submission - congrats to Anderson on a fantastic submission victory.

Sparky Anderson decided to call for a title shot in his post fight interview, which was very strange given the fact this fight was for a title and he's already the champion. I guess that's what getting punched in the head does for you.

Panda goes for a double leg but Takeishi avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Takeishi continues to drive forward.
Takeishi throws out a token jab with nothing on it.
The fighters circling - Takeishi throws out the jab but it was never going to land.
Panda swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Panda shoots in looking for a takedown but Takeishi manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Panda's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.
Panda uses good footwork to get in and out, landing a nice hook.
Panda shoots in for a takedown but Takeishi shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Full Time Panda. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Panda looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.

Panda wants to take the fight to the mat but Takeishi manages to get underhooks and keep the fight in the clinch.
