Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Suren Nazarethyan (ranked 1956 p4p, 221 weight class) and Goji Kano (ranked 23108 p4p, 0 weight class). Nazarethyan comes to the cage accompanied by Amerika. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

With a record of 12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of New York, Goji Kano!
The judges for this bout are Franklyn Lucas, Steve Montenegro and Joseph Jones.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Kano will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.

Kano shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Nazarethyan sprawls well. Nazarethyan wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Kano gets slowly back to his feet.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.

Nazarethyan got a little sloppy there for a moment and Kano has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Nazarethyan has managed to get both his arms back between Kano's legs - danger averted.

Kano escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Nazarethyan gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Nazarethyan could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Nazarethyan stalks Kano and leaps in with a furious combination of punches. Uppercuts and crosses smash into Kano's face. Kano staggers backwards, shaken.

Kano changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Nazarethyan tries to avoid it but Kano manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Nazarethyan to the ground. Nazarethyan escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Nazarethyan circles to his right before unloading a perfect head kick! Kano drops to the canvas, hurt badly! Nazarethyan follows Kano to the ground and unloads with a series of strikes that force the referee to step in and end the fight! This one is all over!
