Coming up we have a super heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Harold Zoid (ranked 2575 p4p, 75 weight class) and Ravi Shankoli (ranked 1872 p4p, 51 weight class). Shankoli is bobbing his head along to his entrance song: Ravi Shankar - Om Shiva. Ravi Shankoli told me before the fight that he's been watching a lot of DVDs so let's see if that helps him in this one! I can't wait to find out!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
19 - 13 - 0, fighting out of London, Harold Zoid!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
57 - 29 - 0, fighting out of London, Ravi Shankoli!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Lombardi, John Kavanagh and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Thud! ouch! good body kick from Zoid - that will leave a mark!
Shankoli avoids the head kick by Zoid.
Shankoli looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Zoid scores with the left hand. Shankoli knows he should have avoided that one.
Zoid comes forward and lands a shot to the body, then darts back out of range.
Zoid throws a predictable looking body shot
and Shankoli counters with a nice uppercut.
Zoid fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Shankoli manages to avoid it.
Shankoli on the wrong end of a nice jab.
Zoid misses with a hook
and Shankoli counters with a lovely straight right hand!
It looks like Harold Zoid has been cut.
Zoid plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Shankoli avoids a lazy jab quite easily.
Shankoli walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush.

Zoid throws a hook to the side of Shankoli's head but Shankoli sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Zoid tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Zoid misses with a wild combination.
It seemed like Shankoli was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
Harold Zoid seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Despite the aggression on Shankoli's face he doesn't fully commit to the counter.
Zoid moves into range and throws a lovely three punch combination.
Zoid darts in and out, connecting with a jab.
Zoid misses with a head kick.

and Shankoli counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.

Shankoli takes a shot right to the bread basket.
Shankoli takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily.
The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so!
Zoid moving in and out of range nicely, whilst landing the scoring shot.
Zoid bobbing and weaving, closes the distance and lands a hook to the side of Shankoli's head.

Zoid throws a hard body shot but it just misses.

Shankoli replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Zoid blocks it well.
Zoid throws a good cross that connects.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Shankoli moves out of range as Zoid strikes.
Shankoli stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from Zoid.
Shankoli takes a jab right on the kisser.
Zoid is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Shankoli can do to turn this around?
Shankoli steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Zoid.
Shankoli is looking for the big counter here.

Shankoli walks straight into a jab right on the nose. That one stung - he's blinking and trying to clear his head.
Zoid throws a leg kick but Shankoli sees it coming and moves out of range.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Zoid is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Shankoli.

Zoid pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Zoid lands a nice leg kick that just misses Shankoli's sensitive parts.
Zoid tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Shankoli is able to avoid easily.
Zoid throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Shankoli doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Zoid moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Shankoli is pinned up against the ropes taking some big shots here. The referee is looking closely deciding whether he should stop the fight.
Zoid works over Shankoli's head and body with a nice combination.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Zoid.
Zoid throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Shankoli on the side of the head.

Shankoli takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Zoid connects with a good right hand that stumbles Shankoli. Shankoli circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Zoid fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Shankoli takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Shankoli checks a low kick. Bone on bone - not my idea of a good time.
Zoid throws a nice hook to the body that draws an oooh from the crowd.
Zoid scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Shankoli avoids the body shot from Zoid.
Shankoli throws out a counter right but Zoid avoids it with no problem.
Zoid is looking to land body kicks.

Zoid lands with a cross.
Ravi Shankoli has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Zoid swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Shankoli connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Zoid looks to score with a combo but nothing lands.
Shankoli doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter.
Zoid misses with a hook
and Shankoli counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Zoid thinking.
Zoid scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard.

Zoid tries to land a front kick but Shankoli steps back. That was a bit too telegraphed.
A countering left hand to the body from Shankoli misses.

Zoid catches his opponent with a big hook that sends him to the canvas! Shankoli stumbles back to his feet but will the referee allow it to continue? Shankoli walks forwards and this one will be allowed to continue! Come on!
Shankoli is rocked!
Shankoli walks into a left hand.
Shankoli is still on wobbly legs! Can Zoid finish him?
Zoid looks to land a right hand but Shankoli moved out of range.
Shankoli throws a fast counter high kick but Zoid manages to duck under it in time.
Shankoli seems to have recovered his senses.
Zoid scores with a nice head shot.
Zoid throws a half hearted mid kick.
Shankoli replies with a solid counter kick to the body but Zoid blocks it well.
Zoid connects with a beautiful left hand that drops Shankoli onto his butt! Shankoli bounces straight back up though - he's OK. After the ref checks him out, we're back to the action.
And that's the end of the fight!
Harold Zoid showed his dominance in that final round.
Well Zoid has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.

Harold Zoid decided to hype himself up post fight. It was going well but he went on about it a bit too long and the crowd turned on him a little.
The defeated Ravi Shankoli had this to say: 'I believe he forgotten shower for a week or something, I gagged on my own vomit and never could get it back together again. Take a shower you filthy bastard!'.
