Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mark Kerr (ranked 184 p4p, 28 weight class) and Doug Bell (ranked 257 p4p, 39 weight class). Fingers crossed for an exciting fight - I'm sure both fighters are looking for a nice under the table bonus!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 24 - 14 - 0, fighting out of London, Mark Kerr!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 25 - 11 - 0, fighting out of New York, Doug Bell!
The judges for this bout are Jack Bonds, Frank Antenori and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The crowd cheers as Kerr lands an impressive looking overhand right. Bell doesn't seem phased though.
A big right from Bell misses.
Kerr misses with a looping right.
Kerr jabs at Bell's body.
Bell dives in and grabs Kerr's left leg, looking for a takedown. Kerr pushes down on Bell's head and hops out.
Kerr tries to clinch but Bell is having none of it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Kerr throws a right and a left that Bell avoids nicely.
Kerr blocks a jab.
Kerr looks to have improved his striking defense since last time we saw him fight.
Kerr throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.

That's one minute gone in the round.
Bell misses with a hook. Kerr ducked under it nicely.
Bell misses with a lunging right hand
and Kerr counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw.
Bell throws a jab when Kerr was well out of range.
Kerr is looking to counter punch.
Kerr throws a hook but Bell avoids it easily.
Mark Kerr seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Kerr lunges in with an uppercut that skims his opponent's chin.

Bell shoots in and scores a nice double leg takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

That's two minutes gone in the round.

Bell is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Kerr defends it well.

Kerr is pressing down on Bell's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Kerr controls Bell momentarily but Bell frees himself.
Bell postures up in Kerr's guard and throws a big left but Kerr blocks it.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Bell postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bell is in close to Kerr's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Bell lands a couple of decent looking shots.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Bell accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Bell throws a big elbow that misses.
Kerr will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.
Bell trying to control the position from guard on top but Kerr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Bell distracts Kerr with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Bell pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Kerr is keeping the position for now.
Kerr working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Bell.
Bell wants to control from the top but Kerr keeps moving.
The referee claps his hands together and tells the fighters to work.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Mark Kerr is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Bell waving his hands out in front of him, looking to distract Kerr.
Kerr is looking for a counter combo.
Bell fakes a jab and throws a low kick but Kerr checks it well.
Kerr is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Bell uses good footwork to avoid the strikes from Kerr.
Bell swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made.
Nice sprawl there from Kerr as Bell shoots in.
Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.
Bell rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Kerr counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Bell on the wrong end of an overhand right that came out of nowhere.
A big left from Bell misses.
It looked like Kerr was looking amped, ready to throw a big counter but didn't commit.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Kerr throws a big overhand right that connects, sending Bell tumbling to the canvas!


It looks like Doug Bell has been cut.
Bell working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Kerr.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Mark Kerr dominated that round.

That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.


Kerr grits his teeth and throws a big right-left combo! Bell takes both shots clean on the chin and is out cold! Kerr cracks him once more on his way down, as the crowd goes wild! They enjoyed that one!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:05 of round 2, we have a winner by way of KO (Punches). Mark Kerr!
Mark Kerr decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
