Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Mike Smith (ranked 3201 p4p, 0 weight class) and Huggle Muffin Sweetie Pie (ranked 2462 p4p, 0 weight class). Smith's ring entrance music is that housewives' favourite, Therion - Sitra Ahra. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Sweetie Pie fails with a takedown attempt.

Sweetie Pie shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Smith as he jumps to the side.
Smith moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Smith shakes his hands off, looking to compose himself, but takes a jab to the jaw whilst he does it.

Sweetie Pie moves into the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Sweetie Pie prevents Smith from breaking the clinch.
Sweetie Pie tries a knee to the head but he's missed.
A head punch blocked on the inside by Sweetie Pie.
Smith misses with a hook to the ribs.

Smith throws a nice elbow but it doesn't land.

Sweetie Pie using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Smith has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.

Smith is pushing Sweetie Pie up against the cage, for a bit of lean and pray action. Action being used the in the loosest possible sense of the word.

A real battle for position is taking place between these two warriors.

The pace slowing considerably in the clinch, as Sweetie Pie takes a break from that fighting nonsense to think about the finer things in life.

Sweetie Pie tries to clinch there but Smith circles away.
Sweetie Pie connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between Smith's hands.
Smith fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.

Sweetie Pie has Smith pressed up against the cage in a tight Thai clinch. Smith is arching his back, trying to avoid the knees but a big one sneaks through from Sweetie Pie - that's hurt Smith badly! Oh, another knee lands and Smith is covering up! The referee steps in to save him - possibly a bit early but Smith doesn't seem to be complaining.
