PBP Commentary

Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Kreepee Krawlee (ranked 2415 p4p, 130 weight class) and Samuel Little (ranked 4451 p4p, 212 weight class). Samuel Little will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 10 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Kreepee Krawlee!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 5 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Samuel Little!
The judges for this bout are Topper Green, Winston Howard and Damien Edna.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Little throws a head kick that misses.
Krawlee looked to counter that last move with a leg kick but didn't pull the trigger.
Little throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Krawlee sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Krawlee seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter.
Little swinging wildly here.
Krawlee is looking to counter punch.
Little throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Krawlee.
Little fakes a jab and then connects with a hook.
A leg kick checked by Krawlee.
It looked like Krawlee was trying to counter with a body shot coming off that last attack from Little.
Samuel Little seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Little's corner calls for a 1, 2 combination and Little duly obliges.
Little misses the shot to the body.
Krawlee slips under a jab.
Little lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.

Krawlee blocks a head kick by Little.
Krawlee swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Little throws a counter combo.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Krawlee shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Little's guard.
Little really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Krawlee. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.

Little trying to keep a closed guard but Krawlee is proving a slippery customer.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.

Krawlee is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Little has managed to free his arm - good work.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Little blocking the ground and pound attempt from Krawlee.
Krawlee definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Little is looking to get back to full guard here but Krawlee has managed to pass to side control instead.
Little felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Krawlee tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Krawlee has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
A lull in the action here.
Little manages to work his way to half guard, despite Krawlee's best efforts.

Little wants to improve his position but Krawlee is controlling well.
Krawlee is taking a breather. Little says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something.
Krawlee throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Krawlee not landing any meaningful shots this time.
Little trying to control but Krawlee postures up.
Krawlee looks to score some points with some ground and pound.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Krawlee looks over to his corner - he wants some instructions but his corner are not responding.
Krawlee has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
Krawlee thows a huge punch but Little dodges it nicely.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Samuel Little will probably get the nod.
OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.

and Krawlee decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Little's guard.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Little is active off his back here, looking for submissions.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Little throws a head kick but Krawlee moves out of range.

Krawlee postures up to throw the ground and pound strikes but they don't connect.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Krawlee accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Kreepee Krawlee overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far.
Krawlee seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Krawlee passes into half guard.
Little wants to get back to full guard.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
This is a sustained period of stalling by Krawlee.

Krawlee is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Little is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 3:18 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Kreepee Krawlee!
After winning the bout, Kreepee Krawlee thanked all his fans and promised he'd do even better in his next fight. The crowd seemed to love his humility.
