Coming up we have a heavyweight kickboxing rules bout between Yoshi Takano (ranked 24976 p4p, 525 weight class) and Torkel Bystrom (ranked 1748 p4p, 192 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick misses from Takano.
Yoshi Takano seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Takano tries a head kick but it misses.
Takano throws a shot from downtown. Bystrom moves away and avoids it.
That kick from Bystrom tenderised Takano's leg. Takano is trying to keep his angry face on.
Takano misses with a jab and misses with a cross straight after too.

and Bystrom counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters.
Bystrom throws a sloppy head kick and Takano moves out of range easily.

Bystrom avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
Takano pulls out of a head kick attempt.
Bystrom displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Takano throws out the jab.
Bystrom's jab looks to have found its range, popping Takano under the eye.
Takano lands a lovely overhand right.
It looks like Torkel Bystrom has been cut.

Takano looks for the body kick but Bystrom saw that one coming.

Bystrom buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Takano throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
Takano fakes with the hands and throws a leg kick but Bystrom is out of range.
Bystrom lands with a kick to the temple. Takano shrugs as if to say "is that all you've got?"

Takano throws the left hand but Bystrom avoids the punch easily.
Takano looks to land a right hand but Bystrom moved out of range.

Bystrom steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Takano.
Takano moves out of the way of the counter high kick fromBystrom.
Takano throws an off balance right hand
and Bystrom cracks him with a counter punch right on the button.
Takano is really struggling to find his range with his punches. Bystrom's reach advantage is clearly causing him problems.
Some wild striking there from Bystrom.
Bystrom thuds his right hand into Takano's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters.
Takano throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Takano throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
Bystrom shapes to counter with a head kick.
Bystrom has his front leg slapped to the side - a nice low kick landing there from Takano.
Bystrom swings for the body but Takano moves out of range.
Bystrom scores with a kick to the body.
Bystrom throws out a head kick that Takano doesn't see coming - it connects and sends Takano crashing to the mat face first! He's bounced up to his knees and is scrambling to get back to his feet and beat the count. He's up on 5 but still looks a bit groggy; will the referee allow it to continue??? He's taking a good look into Takano's eyes and has decided to let it go on!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Bystrom just misses with a punch to the body.
Takano takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Bystrom avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Bystrom moves out of range as Takano throws a body kick.
Bystrom swings for the body but Takano moves out of range.
Takano throws a wild body kick that Bystrom sees coming a mile off.
Bystrom lands a nice shot to the body.
Takano misses with a hook
and Bystrom counters with a right, a left and a big uppercut that drops Takano to the mat! Bystrom runs to a neutral corner to get the count going quickly. 3,4,5,6 and Takano is back to his feet. He seems ready to continue - the ref agrees so we're back at it!
Bystrom ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Bystrom raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Takano throws a jab when Bystrom was well out of range.

Bystrom throws a right hand that Takano ducks under and follows up with a left that Takano also avoids with ease.
Bystrom blocks the body kick.
Takano goes for a high kick. It partially lands.
Bystrom lands a nice hook to Takano's body. Takano takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Bystrom steps in and throws a big head kick that drops Takano to the mat! Takano looks in trouble, can he beat the count? Bystrom is bouncing in a neutral corner joining in with the referee '4,5,6' they both chant. 7,8,9... he's not going to make it! 10! He's out! Bystrom jumps onto the ropes and takes in the acclaim from the crowd!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:52 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Torkel Bystrom!
