Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Edgar Avetisyan (ranked 1423 p4p, 163 weight class) and Miki Viki (ranked 2768 p4p, 298 weight class). These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Viki avoids a kick to the body.
Viki throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Avetisyan makes him pay by landing a thudding low kick.
Avetisyan defending well as Viki loads up on a big left hand.
Avetisyan thows a left - swing and a miss!
Avetisyan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Avetisyan misses with a straight left.
Avetisyan takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Edgar Avetisyan has been cut.
Viki takes a solid shot to the body. That one hurt him but he's trying not to show it.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Viki cracks Avetisyan with a hook to the jaw. Both fighters smile at eachother and high-five before getting back down to business.
Viki throws a hook but Avetisyan avoids it easily.

It looks like Miki Viki has been cut.
Viki with a body punch. A glancing blow.
Avetisyan drops his hands momentarily and Viki takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head.
Avetisyan throws a quick head kick that skims the top of Viki's head.
Viki lands a slapping body shot.
Viki on the wrong end of a decent looking cross there.
Viki will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
Avetisyan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Avetisyan lands a straight punch to the body, keeping Viki at a distance.
Viki looks to land a left hand but Avetisyan moved out of range nicely.
Avetisyan swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Viki blocks a head kick by Avetisyan.
Viki lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Viki fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Viki avoids a lazy jab quite easily.

Avetisyan lands a high kick to the side of Viki's head that stuns him and send him tumbling down to the canvas! Avetisyan dives into guard, looking to finish.

Viki is rocked!

Avetisyan gets to his feet. Viki looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Avetisyan catches Viki with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong!
Viki is still on wobbly legs! Can Avetisyan finish him?
Avetisyan throws a quick head kick that knocks Viki silly! This fight is all over! What a finish! Avetisyan is up on the cage, taking in the applause from the crowd.
