And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 17 - 16 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Tyler Cage!
The judges for this bout are Robert Twigg, George Francis and Cecil Peabody.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jackson looks to land a right hand but Cage moved out of range.

Jackson definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
That's a knee to de groin and it's over and out! Cage crumples to the ground after an illegal strike from Jackson - the referee stops the clock and Cage gets 5 minutes to recover from that one. "I'm sorry" says Jackson. Cage manages to get back to his feet and the fight resumes.

Cage has been spending a lot of time sparring his boxing in the run up to the fight, trying to sharpen up those hands and look for a knockout.

Jackson throws a hook to the side of Cage's head but Cage sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Tyler Cage seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Cage tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Jackson manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.

Jackson pivots as if he's going to throw a leg kick but stops half way.
Jackson jabbing away but nothing is landing.
Jackson avoids a punch combination nicely.
Cage blocks the body kick.
Jackson misses with a looping right.
Cage takes a nasty kick to the mid section... That should keep him thinking. Does he try and block and risk a head kick landing?
Cage uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Jackson has time to react.
Cage lands with a two punch combination before moving back out of range.
Jackson swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Jackson tests Cage's chin there with a solid looking shot.
Jackson lands a glancing blow to the side of Cage's head.
Jackson jabs Cage to the body, keeping him at a distance.
As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.

Cage pushes Jackson away with a front kick.
Oh Jackson is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
Cage throws an overhand right that drops Jackson like a sack of potatoes! Cage dives in to finish the fight with more strikes and this one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:56 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Tyler Cage!
An out of breath Tyler Cage thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
Huge Jackson was interviewed post fight and said 'I throw leather, sometimes it doesn't work out but am gonna keep on pushing.'.
