CACC 72 PBP Commentary


Coming up we have a heavyweight Tycoon World Grappling Championship rules bout between Helio Kimura (ranked 10534 p4p, 457 weight class) and David Allan Coe (ranked 2234 p4p, 216 weight class). Coe has chosen Nothing To Lose as his entrance music. The atmosphere really building for this one as we go over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

This TWGC bout is 1 fifteen minute round in the heavyweight division. Introducing today's competitors. In the red corner, competing out of Las Vegas, with a TWGC record of 38 wins and 20 losses; Helio Kimura! And in the blue corner, fighting out of Sydney, with a TWGC record of 6 wins and 5 losses; David Allan Coe!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Jack Bonds and Percy O'Donnell.


The fighters bow as they face eachother in the middle of the mat and we are under way.

Coe closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.

We've been hearing good reports from Kimura's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Coe is going oldschool here, as he tries to force Kimura to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so Kimura shrugs it off.

The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

Coe is trying for a guillotine from the top but the pressure isn't in the right place so Kimura is just riding it out for now. Coe eventually gives up the hold.

Coe stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Kimura swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Coe sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Kimura's guard.
