Coming up we have a middleweight kickboxing rules bout between Antero Vuori (ranked 2171 p4p, 254 weight class) and Yevgen Maartins (ranked 6438 p4p, 488 weight class). Yevgen Maartins acknowledges the crowd's support as he enters the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
10 - 10 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Antero Vuori!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Yukihiro Shimada and Yasuomi Hirokawa.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Maartins moves out of range of the strikes.
Vuori looks to throw the jab but Maartins is out of range.
Wow, both these guys are really going for it!
Vuori plants his feet and lands a nice head kick!
Maartins steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Vuori.
Vuori lands a body shot.
Vuori connects with the punch.
Vuori chopped to the floor by a nice leg kick but he springs right back up before Maartins can pounce on him.
Maartins takes a head kick and shrugs it off.
Vuori ducks under a wild hook from Maartins.
Maartins tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Vuori counters with a lovely straight right hand!
Maartins has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from Maartins there as he acknowledges the shot.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Maartins swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Maartins throws a leg kick which misses Vuori's front leg but catches the back leg as Vuori tries to avoid it.

and Vuori counters with a nice body shot.
Vuori throws a hook to the side of Maartins's head but Maartins sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully.
Maartins raises up his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Vuori misses with a head kick.

Nice shot lands for Vuori.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Maartins's hands are dropping dangerously low here and Vuori connects clean with a right hook that sends him down to one knee! Maartins scrambles back to his feet.
Vuori is using his height advantage well here, landing a good percentage of his punches.
Vuori's corner calls for a 1-2. Vuori obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Vuori misses with a head kick.
Vuori moves out of range of the body kick.
An inside leg kick lands from Maartins.
Vuori looks to land a combination but Maartins avoids it well.
Maartins throws a hook to the body but it doesn't connect.
No joy there for Maartins, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Vuori listening to his corner there, landing a nice uppercut.
Maartins throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Vuori is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range.

Maartins buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Vuori is really head hunting here, hardly looking to strike to the body at all.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Vuori throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Maartins ducks down and throws a hook to the body.
It looks like Vuori has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him.

Vuori throws a jab but it's blocked by Maartins.
Maartins lands a right hook to the body.
Vuori keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.
A punch lands to the side of Vuori 's head but he takes it in his stride.

Maartins tries to clinch but Vuori is having none of it.
Vuori throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land.
A head kick misses from Maartins.
Maartins missing with a left hand there. Vuori was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Maartins throws the kick towards the body but Vuori avoids it.
Vuori misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Maartins.
Maartins counters with a body kick.
Vuori tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Maartins just misses with a punch to the body.
Maartins shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Vuori eats them both and turns towards Maartins to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Vuori is rocked!
Maartins doesn't manage to clinch there - Vuori circles away.
Oh Vuori is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
A swing and a miss from Vuori.
Maartins is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Vuori.
Vuori seems to have got his legs back now.
Vuori walks into a perfectly timed head kick by Maartins and drops face first to the floor! Vuori's eyes are wide open but he's not all there - he's just flopping around the mat like a drunk on rollerskates! The referee doesn't even start the count - he's called an end to the fight, with Vuori in no position to continue!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:44 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Head Kick). Yevgen Maartins!
Yevgen Maartins seemed lost for words in his post fight interview but he remembered to thank his fans and directed everyone to his website.
